2026 TTADC FAMILY DAY ![]() Mark your Calendar for the 2026 TTADC Family Day. We are celebrating Fathers this year on June 21st - Father's Day and our Kings will be in the spotlight. Bring your friends and family along with your picnic baskets and enjoy beautiful music, fun and games. There will also be a community table as well as delcacies on sale. If you had a good time last year, this year will be even better. CARNIVAL IN THE CAPITAL
The DC Public Library will commemorate Caribbean Heritage Month with "Carnival in De Capital – A Celebration of Caribbean Culture, Creativity, and Community" on Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Rooftop of the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library, 901 G Street NW, Washington, D.C. Admission is free to this family-friendly event, which will feature performances by Image Band, Proverbs Reggae Band, Just Us Rhythm Section, East of the River Steel Orchestra, and Richard's Carnival Dancers. Attendees will also have the opportunity to receive complimentary Carnival headpieces and costumes and participate in the Carnival Jump-Up during the event. The Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library is conveniently located adjacent to the Gallery Place and Metro Center Metro stations and attendees are encouraged to utilize public transportation. The Mission encourages nationals of Trinidad and Tobago, as well as friends of the Caribbean community, to take advantage of this opportunity to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the region and experience the spirit of Carnival—the Greatest Show on Earth. The Trinbago Scholarship Fund (TSF) is accepting applications for 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for eligible students in our community to receive financial support toward their academic goals. The deadline to submit applications is June 1, 2026.
